This article examines two anthologies of translated Flemish literature published in Nazi Germany during the Second World War. Through a descriptive analysis of paratexts and the publishing context of the ‘Third Reich’, it provides insights into the balancing act of editors and translators between their own traditions, the restrictive circumstances of the cultural field, and Nazi Germany’s war interest in Belgium.
